Wierenga laboratory project on coordinating hippocampal CA1 synaptic plasticity using patch-clamp recording, two-photon glutamate uncaging and optical biosensors. Preferred start 1 January 2027.

MSc in life sciences, biology, biomedical sciences or related discipline; experience with advanced microscopy and/or patch-clamp recordings in living brain tissue; interest in intracellular signalling and optical methods; English. Programming is advantageous. Approximately 10% teaching.
